But my stamp-making is...

Anyway.
I find it absolutely hilarious when someone says people who kill themselves are pathetic. I bet you've considered suicide, even attempted it, then that means the same for you. You see, those people probably have it harder than you. I admit that some people commit suicide for the wrong reason, but when their life sucks and nothing seems to work for them, hell, I think they have the right to do it. If they want to exit, fine. Some people can handle less than you, maybe if you have a hard life and call these people pathetic because their life is supposedly 'easier', I think you should actually consider that maybe they're weaker then you. And when people say: "If you can't handle life, you're pathetic."....Are you fucking stupid? These people didn't choose to have a hard life or choose to be born. Jesus, how ignorant can you be? I say if people want to exit, well let them. They won't regret it, as you claim they will.

Plus, if a person commits suicide because of something absolutely ridiculous, well, at least we got rid of an idiot.

Oh and I forgot. Some people get depressed and suicidal more easily than other people, thus they tend to be likelier to commit suicide.

No they aren't, it's the people who push them to the point to have to do that. And seeking help is hard, you don't just go up to someone and say "Hey I have suicidal thoughts, can you help me?" On a similar but unrelated note, I have depression, and I haven't told my parents yet, I want to, but it's too hard. Think about it, place yourself in the suicidal persons mind.

I hate people who call suicide victims "cowards". They more than likely don't understand the pain that person was going through when they took their own life.

The ones who say suicide is for the weak or pathetic are the ones who don't truly understand depression and what it does to the brain.  Telling a depressed person that they're selfish is like telling a cancer patient that they are a burden for their illness (of which they cannot control).

not pathetic, but selfish
there have been many suicides in my family and it destroys the lives of the people left behind
suicide should be considered a sin as well as a crime because of all the collateral damage it does
all the pain and anger and hopelessness a suicide feels stops when they die
but then
overwhelms the ones left behind
all of the pain, hopelessness, anger, shame, fear, guilt
it's a parting gift from the suicide to all of his/her friends, family, collleagues
so
the pain the suicide felt is multiplied
it only ends for the selfish bastard who is dead
suicide can be contagious, you know
one suicide can leads to the same terrible emotions for survivors
so they act on it in a way that ends THEIR pain
they don't choose to feel suicidal, but they choose to be selfish by reacting with suicide.
there are so many treatments that work
there is no good excuse to end your own life

You have clearly never been suicidal. There are plenty of people who don't give a rats ass about family members committing suicide. Does suicide affect people other than the victim? Sometimes. Sin only exist if you're religious. And it should not be a crime. We have no problem euthanizing a dog or a cat when their suffering but we do have a problem with humans. Suicide isn't selfish. What is selfish is forcing someone who is in pain to live a life they don't think is worth living. In a way you're being selfish by making someone who is suffering stay alive for you. You keep yourself alive for yourself not for anyone else.

The mindset of a depressed person is not a clear one.
I've been there. Just last year, actually, I attempted suicide and was very depressed. I've been recovering, slowly. And I can tell you, when someone is depressed sometimes the pain is so strong it seems to consume them and it's all they can think about. Say what you will, victim blamers, but that's a fact.

Sure, it's never nice to call someone weak or pathetic. But other people have the right to save you from suicide, especially when the cause is clinical depression. Don't most people regret attempting? What you're saying is essentially "just let them die". Death isn't a "way out". It's freaking death.

The problem is it isn't your place to save them. Not all people regret attempting. Some only regret failing. Its not your place for someone who is suffering to keep them alive for you. They have to want to live for themself. This is coming from someone who has both lost loved ones to suicide and attempted suicide themself.

It's worse when they send you to the hospital over it.

"Oh, you want to kill yourself? Let's dress you in a gown and booties, parade you through the hospital in a wheelchair, and make you piss in a little cup. That'll make you feel better!"

So you're suggesting to just let people fall victim to their demons? Those doctors and nurses save lives, and you're the first person I've seen who didn't appreciate what they do.

You're in the minority. I'm sorry you had an awful life, but why would you say that? These doctors and nurses give other people another chance at life. Death is the end. You can see it as escape, and maybe you believe it'd lead you to heaven or hell. But it's still the end. To kill yourself when there's a chance to live well is a waste of life.

Maybe with different ailments, or perhaps if they were being filmed for one of those sickeningly happy light-hearted news coverages or something.

Why other people would think positively of being involuntarily dumped in a mental hospital for more than a week is beyond me, and so is how that actually makes their shitty lives/reputation any better.

I don't know, maybe because they value life? It's kinda a one-chance-only thing. Many of them aren't voluntarily wanting to give something that precious up, and those doctors try to help them pull through with clinical illness. Call it voodoo, but they do try. I'm sorry your life sucks, but be considerate of other people who don't want their life to suck.

I almost committed suicide from depression because my ADHD wasn't controlled at the time. And I was going through hard times. My grandpa had a brain tumor and bladder cancer at the time, one of my aunts just died, and school was bad. So I guess I'm pathetic!

My father was not pathetic, he was brave but he had difficult time to fight alcoholism. In the end to protect me and my family from getting hurt by his own hands, under control of alcohol..He gave up his life..I was only 4 years old when it happened, but I still remember him through all years. I think back all good memories about my father when I feel sad or stressed.

Though sometimes I hope that people back then could have smacked senses back to him. But things cannot be changed, and maybe it's sometimes better in that way. He would had opposed against me of choosing to be ICT-assembler. He didn't like computers that much. :XD:

I don't see why you would even post something like this. It is absolutely pathetic to even consider suicide. It shows you have little maturity, issues with solving your problems and absolutely no hope for a better future. Most people who commit suicide are moody teenagers who haven't even become ADULTS and gotten the chance to actually get away from other people and live their own lives. It's a pitiful, pathetic thing to do and it is always the worst possible option in any situation.

'Scuse my language, but **** you!!!! People who commit suicide, are more humane than any other people on this d@mn, twisted world. Why don't you go put yourself in the shoes of someone who had a valid reason to do it for how long they went through the hell that was their life until they ended it all, and if you STILL think it's pathetic after that, ONLY THEN, will I, and I believe the other supporters of this stamp, actually accept your opinion.

oh yeah cause mental illness isn't a thing. it's not like mental illness is also affected by the brain. it's not like people get harrassed to no end and abused the shit out of and raped, and people judge them and treat them like shit for something dumb
because, you know, we totally live in a perfect world
because our media totally doesn't pressure us to be a certain way which is impossible to achieve
because our education system totally doesn't care more about grades than our mental health
because poverty isn't one of the biggest issues in our society
because minorities aren't treated like fucking shit just for being in a minority
because, you know, everyone is happy and perfect and we live our lives smiling with nothing going wrong
yeah some people do pretend to have 'hard lives', but that's because there is so much ignorance surrounding mental illness
so how about you do some research and educate yourself my friend

The above was written by :iconlittleredhatter: The below was written by me, :iconmarlythemadhare:

Yes, suicide is the worst possible solution to any problem, but sometimes it can seem like the only option. Obviously you have never experienced something as horrible as rape or major bullying, otherwise you would know how bad those people feel about themselves. If someone is told that they are worthless on a daily basis, people will eventually begin to believe that. If someone is raped, they can begin to believe that they deserved it. Sometimes peoples families can make things worse for the victims, making suicide seem like a better option than living in a world full of uncaring man and women. NEVER say that suicide is cowardly. NEVER say that suicide is pathetic. You are offending every victim of bullying, every victim of rape, and every person who has ended their life, because people like you don't care.

Not to mention, she was planning to kill me too. Pretty fucking brave, huh? Also, teenagers can't kill themselves for shit. It's just a way for kids to manipulate their parents into getting what they want.
